We all know about the gender wage gap with woman, but what about other gender identities? Considering the fact that 12% of just millenials identify as gender non-conforming or transgender, and that out of people from ages 13 to 20, 56% know someone who uses gender-neutral pronouns, this is definitely something we should be paying to. There is also a lack of statistical facts on the salary and other facts on this community. All of us need to raise awareness about this depressing fact. There are a multitude of gender identities out there, including but not limited to : transgender, non-binary, pan gender, gender fluid, intersex, gender queer, and gender neutral.
A Definition of a Few of the Genders That Are Out There
Agender
A person who doesn't identify as a gender, and may choose to look androgynous.
Genderfluid
A person who is fluid with their gender expression, different from gender identity. They may identify as one or the other gender depending on the day, but doesn't see themselves as male or female.
Genderqueer
A person who may identify as a combination of genders, between genders, beyond genders, etc. In main, it's a variety. They are usually fluid in gender expression. This identity also gives forward to their sexuality,
Intersex
A term used for multiple medical conditions when a person is born with genitalia, chromosomes, and sometimes secondary sexual characteristics that do not conform with the typical definition of a male or female body.
